The LIBRALEX conference in Katowice behind us

Over 30 lawyers from 18 countries met in Katowice/Poland for a half year LIBRALEX conference.
Main topic of the Friday working session was Artificial Intelligence and very interesting presentations on:
· English law developments and proposals for regulations of AI
· EU regulations on AI
· General technical aspects of AI
were delivered by Paddy Kelly, partner at LAYTONS, dr. Matthias Terbach, partner at Busing Muffelmann & Theye and Adrian Kapczyński, Ph.D. from the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice respectively.

During the Saturday session amongst standard Libralex topics, issues related to energy crisis and problems faced by Bar associations in Poland were also discussed.

A gala dinner for conference guests was organized at the ALTO restaurant in the impressive Polish Radio National Orchestra building. As part of accompanying events, visitors visited the Silesian Museum and the Guido Mine in Zabrze.

After four decades Bernard Cahen announced his resignation as President of LIBRALEX. Sotiris Felios from Athens has been elected as a new President and dr. Lars Siebert from Busing Muffelmann & Theye joined the Bureau. 

The next LIBRALEX meeting has been scheduled for 24-25 of February 2023 in Luxembourg.
